A Minimum overall budget of $2 million with a minimum qualified spend of $500,000.00 in Chatham County. Main Production Office must be located in Chatham County 50% of shooting days must be within 60 miles of the City Hall of Savannah Must add SRFC’s Executive Director and Office Manager to distro list during preproduction and production. An applicant can qualify only once per year unless the budget exceeds $15 million. An applicant will be considered the
same for rebate purposes if the entity actually entitled to receive the rebate shares any common ownership, corporate
officers or other verifiable affiliation with a previous applicant
Must meet with Savannah Area Film Office and spend a
minimum two days of scouting before applying
Extra Workforce Incentive- Experienced Crew Relocation Rebate: Up to $2,000 moving cost, per household for experienced film/television technicians with at least 5 years of verifiable experience; Relocate to Chatham County with a minimum one-year lease or purchase of property and must have resided in Chatham County a minimum of 30 days / Must apply and provide verifiable receipts or otherdocumentary proof and possess a valid Georgia driver’s license or utility bill with your name and Chatham County Address.
Local qualified spend includes expenses incurred in Chatham County for labor, extras, rentals, purchases, airfare, hotels, per diem, picture cars, fuel, catering, gratuities, animals, security, police, healthcare professionals, parking and site rentals. Above-the-line expenses include day players, expenses for assistants to directors and producers and casting fees on day players.
Bundle for TV- Must be done in same calendar year. If done between two consecutive calendar years the production only counts for the calendar year in which it began. Only one season counts per calendar years
The fund is administered on a first-come, first-served basis combined with senior SEDA staff approval of the production.
